This is a special gift to members of the Gustavia Yacht Club from the Club's Commodore.
Sir Stelios will not be able to be in Monaco for the Grand Prix this year so he is donating the tickets that are allocated to his sailing yacht Strangers in the night which is berthed at the Monaco Yacht Club (YCM) to be placed in a raffle only available to GYC members to participate in. All proceeds of the raffle ticket sales will benefit the GYC. Accommodation for two people in a cabin on board Sir Stelios' sailing yacht is also included to make the prize more attractive to members who do not live in Monaco.
So the main terms of this raffle are:
The Prize :
- 2 tickets to the YCM 1909 Restaurant (Deck 2) with complementary food from breakfast to tea time and to the YCM Regatta (Deck 6) Monaco to watch the 77th Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday 26th May 2019
- complimentary accommodation only ( a double cabin) on the sailing yacht Strangers in the Night, berthed in front of the Clubhouse of the YCM , with arrival on the Wednesday the 22nd of and departure on Monday 27th May.
The GYC will sell up to 300 raffle tickets (but not more than that number) at the cost of €20 each. The total maximum possible proceeds of €6,000 will benefit the club.
The raffle tickets are only available for purchase by duly paid 2019 GYC members. There is no limit how many tickets each duly paid member can purchase.

Deadline for buying the raffle tickets – 6pm on the 29th of April 2019.
The lucky draw will take place at 12 noon (CET) on Tuesday 30th April 2019 by the Commodore (who is excused from winning himself) in the presence of treasurer Ken Griggs and Accountant Philippe Ewart.
The winner will be announced by circulate email soon thereafter to enable early booking of flights for members residing away from Monaco.
This is a truly unique experience to watch an iconic F1 race from an iconic Yacht Club whilst staying in a classic sailing yacht in front of the Clubhouse!

This is the Friday in the middle of the F1 Grand Prix but as there is no racing taking place during that time access to the Conference hall is unrestricted.
